Cylindrical Boom

Cylindrical Boom is recommended for sheltered waters, manufactured with independent closed cell foam flotation chambers. The boom is also manufactured with a continuous cylindrical shape free board, without vertical welding, and short flotation chambers to enhance the wave and wind response of the boom. The small gap between adjacent flotation chambers increases the flexibility of the boom enabling it to be folded or rolled.
The boom is fitted with top a tension member and a ballast chain working as the bottom tension member. The boom is reinforced by double fabric layers at chain pockets and critical points for increased strength and durability. The oil resistant fabrics used enable the boom to withstand severe conditions due to waves, winds and currents. The boom is fitted with a top tension member.
Cylindrical Boom is one of the most widely utilized floating containment booms due to its cost effective construction, rapid and easy deployment and multiple usage areas.
