Absorbent Socks absorb, contain and block Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT); Oil, General Chemicals and Corrosive Chemicals.
Made of high quality meltblown Polypropylene (PP) material, these absorbent socks are suitable for all type of Hazmat land spills clean-up efforts. Sometimes known as Thin Booms, they have high retention and absorption characteristics and are ideal for placing on the floor or flat surfaces to block the flow of liquid hazardous substance.
Single use item, to be disposed of by incineration or in accordance with regulatory authority guidelines as Scheduled Waste.
Types of Absorbent Socks:
- Oil Absorbent Socks (White) - Absorbs, contain and blocks oil only. Oleophilic and hydrophobic characteristics; does not absorb water but oil only.
- Universal Absorbent Socks (Grey) - Absorb, contains and blocks all liquids including oil and works well on most mild chemicals.
- Hazardous Chemical Absorbent Socks (Yellow)- Absorb, contains and blocks hazardous and corrosive chemical spills including oil.
