Animal Handling Training – Learning with Compassion at SPCA Selangor!
Ampang Jaya, 10 May 2025 — In an inspiring show of compassion and corporate social responsibility, VJ Engineering Solutions Sdn. Bhd. joined hands with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Selangor for a hands-on Animal Handling Training Session held on 10th May 2025 at the SPCA facility in Ampang Jaya.
The training was part of VJ Engineering’s ongoing CSR efforts to support animal welfare and promote ethical treatment of stray and rescued animals. Staff members and other volunteers were given the opportunity to understand the basics of humane animal handling under the guidance of experienced SPCA trainers. The session included live demonstrations on safely approaching, lifting, restraining, and transporting both dogs and cats, with particular emphasis on minimizing stress and ensuring the safety of both animals and handlers.
Participants also received exposure to SPCA’s rescue operations, animal behavior assessments, and rehabilitation processes. The training emphasized empathy, patience, and understanding—values that align with VJ Engineering’s belief in extending kindness beyond human communities.
“This is not just about learning how to handle animals—it’s about understanding their trauma, reading their body language, and responding with compassion,” said Salmi, a staff member of VJ Engineering. “We are honored to learn from SPCA’s dedicated team and to be a small part of the vital work they do every day.”
The event concluded with a tour of the SPCA compound and an engaging Q&A session, leaving participants with a renewed appreciation for the tireless work done to protect voiceless lives.
