Floodstop Barrier

Floodstop barrier is a rapidly deployable, multi-functional flood barrier and bunded containment system. Widely used to protect high risk utilities and businesses against flood water and spills.
It is a cost-effective solution that can be reused again and again. The modular system allows the barrier to be assembled to any length and arranged to suit any direction and opening.
Applications:
- Protecting premises and products from damage due to flooding or spills
- As a barrier system to contain or divert flood water
- An effective temporary bunding system
Unique foam:
- Each pod incorporates a unique foam gasket base creating a tight seal with the ground. Each pod comes complete with a key to lock the pods together.
Efficient:
- As the water you are protecting against or the contained liquids are removed, the pods empty themselves and become light enough to be carried away.
Suitable terrains:
- Floodstop is suitable for use on hard standings such as roads, pavements, pathways.
- It can be used on grass or soil, depending on undulations.
- Not recommended for use on gravel.

0.9m Pre-Fill Floodstop Barrier
The pre fill units are to be filled with water ballast during assembly, providing additional security to the barrier. Combined with the weighted keys, which connect the units, this ensures the assembled barrier holds back the flood water. It’s recommended that when assembling the barrier that pre fill units are alternated with self fill units.

0.9m Self-Fill Floodstop Barrier
Self fill units fill with the rising flood waters, or other liquid they are containing. Combined with the weighted keys, which connect the units, this ensures the assembled barrier holds back the flood water. When the water recedes, the self fill units empty themselves and become light enough to carry away.
Floodstop barriers should be assembled with alternating self fill and pre fill units, which are filled with water ballast during assembly. Multi-hub units can be used for acute cornering and wall connection.
Precautions:
If situated on a porous surface then the contained liquids would eventually penetrate standard ground. If Floodstop is to be used as a temporary bund then it is suggested to use an optional groundsheet available from Darcy that helps create a watertight container.
Additional Fittings
Floodstop 0.9m High Universal Key
Interlocking key that creates a seal and applied ballast between modular and multi-hub Floodstop units.
For easier handling, the 0.9m High Universal Key is made up of two parts, an upper and lower key.
The 0.9m High Universal Key is inserted into two 0.9m high Floodstop modular barrier units to connect them together, or to connect a modular unit with a multi-hub unit.
Once in place, curvature can be applied to the barrier, if needed.
The combined weight of the keys and the water that fills the Floodstop barrier units ensure the assembled barrier holds back floodwaters, or other liquid it is containing.
